I’ve never been to The Well for a gig but I know there are thousands that will have. I know that there are those that will have love for the venue as I have love for venues in Glasgow. It can not be lost. It is vital to Leeds’ scene and if this was your city and a venue you love, you’d be doing…
The Well is probably my favourite venue. Considering I lived near it for a while, I’ve spent quite a bit of time there for gigs. Not only that, but in between bands I’ve been able to sit socialising with my mates who might want to sit and have a drink. Despite the fact I’ve been to gigs in a variety of cities, The Well for some reason still remains to be one of the best, in my opinion. What sucks more though, is the fact that if this venue goes, I’ll probably have to travel (the pretty lengthy journey) to Leeds, just for Cockpit. That’s if Cockpit even start putting on bands like Touché Amoré, La Dispute, Basement, Tigers Jaw, Flood of Red, Ceremony and whoever else I’ve seen in this venue. Even if you’ve never been or never plan on going, at least sign this petition to see if it’ll make a difference. Reblog it, spread the word, do anything. It takes about a second and might make a big impact.
